Nike SB x N7 Apparel Collection
Conversation starters. Dope skate pieces. Designed by Indigenous creatives. Bridging sport, history and culture, the Nike SB x N7 Collection celebrates Indigenous athletes through the free expression of skate.
Designed in partnership with individuals from the Haudenosaunee Confederacy and Ojibwe communities, the woodgrain print at the heart of this collection honors the maple, a tree abundant in the Great Lakes and woodland region. For those of you dropping in, landing big tricks or coasting, check your deck—most likely, it comes from the durable maple wood prevalent in these communities.
Each piece works as a conversation starter. "When ideating for this collection, I really wanted to create something that reflects the beauty of Native culture through the lenses of individualism and skate," says Designer Michael French (Navajo/Dine). "The designs are a conduit for bigger conversations: Pieces of Indigenous culture dipped in the freedom inherent within the skate community." From the maple graphic on each piece to the deck you ride to the literal trees growing on Haudenosaunee and Ojibwe land, the Nike SB x N7 Collection doesn't just ask to be skated in. It says, "Tell us more." So, grab your board and start learning.
