The first in-hand images of the Union x Air Jordan 1 AJKO Low have finally surfaced thanks to zsneakerheadz and beechkicks_. Releasing in January 2023, the Air Jordan 1 AJKO Low will first release as a collaboration with Union LA.
The Jordan 1 AJKO High made a return at the end of 2021 in the classic Chicago and Storm Blue colorways, followed in 2022 by the Orange Rush and White-Black-Grey Fog colorways.
The upcoming shoe will feature a white canvas upper paired with a grey swoosh and the classic Union trademark tab underneath, as seen above. The back heel tab will come embossed with an “AJKO” wings logo in grey, as seen below. The midsole will come in a sail color, resembling popularized “vintage” sneakers.
The displayed images also show extra blue swooshes, suggesting the swooshes might be detachable. The shoe box will include a pair of grey laces, giving consumers an extra option for customization. Finally, the packaging will feature a special Jordan x Union gold chain, marking a departure from the classic Jordan 1 box.
For most fans of the Air Jordan 1, the AJKO spin doesn’t attract the same support. Nevertheless, with recent images surfacing, this upcoming Union AJKO Low could be set to reverse that trend. What are your thoughts on the silhouette, and do you think Nike should release more colorways?
