Kyrie reportedly announcing a new sneaker deal soon
Kyrie Irving, renowned for his exceptional ball-handling skills and impressive scoring ability, has captivated NBA fans throughout his career. As a Nike athlete, he had established a highly popular shoe line, but his association with the brand came to an end in October, leaving him as a sneaker free agent.
Despite the termination of his Nike deal, Irving continued to wear his signature Nike shoes, albeit with the logo covered up, throughout the entire season without an official shoe endorsement.
In an Instagram Live session, Irving recently hinted at the imminent announcement of his new shoe deal, stating that he plans to reveal the details “very, very soon.”
The initial mention of a potential new shoe deal from Irving surfaced in early April after a road loss to the Atlanta Hawks, when a reporter inquired about his future plans, particularly regarding a visit to China. Irving responded by expressing his intention to embark on an Asian tour following the signing of a new shoe deal.
Irving eagerly anticipates the announcement of his shoe deal, envisioning it as a groundbreaking venture that will surpass expectations.
”I won’t even call it a shoe deal,” Irving states. “Like, I’m about to blow this stuff out of the water, and I’m so excited about it.”
Interestingly, while the anticipation for his new shoe deal grows, Irving has yet to make a decision regarding his NBA future. During his Instagram Live session, he informed his fans that he has not chosen a team, urging media personalities to refrain from speculating about him joining the Los Angeles Lakers, a topic that has been subject to constant speculation.
At present, it remains unknown which company Irving will ultimately align himself with. Although several companies such as Adidas and Puma have been speculated as potential options, no official confirmation has been made thus far.
