Adidas Reinstates Yeezy Partnership with Kanye
After months of speculation, the Adidas YEEZY partnership seems to have been resurrected.
It was reported last week that Adidas had suffered losses of over $440 million following the termination of the YEEZY deal in October 2022. However, it appears that the renewed partnership will focus solely on the remaining adidas YEEZY inventory, which includes the highly sought-after YEEZY BOOST 350 “Pirate Black” re-release.
According to YEEZY MAFIA, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of these products will be donated to selected international organizations, while Ye himself will receive a 15% commission on all goods sold.
There has been speculation that this renewed partnership could lead to a long-term deal between adidas and Ye, resulting in the creation of new footwear designs and retail spaces. Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden has been vocal about his admiration for Ye, so the possibility of a new deal certainly seems plausible. As always, only time will tell how this relationship will progress.
